The University Colors

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro

  • (Approved October 22, 1990)
  • (Revision approved by the Chancellor: February 17, 2010)
  • (Amended November, 2014)

The official colors of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro are gold, white, and navy. Gold and white have been the institution's colors since its founding. Navy was added in 1987. Specifications of colors from the Pantone Matching System are as follows:

  • Gold - PMS 116
  • White - no specification required
  • Navy - PMS 281

When University symbols are used on clothing, uniforms, merchandise, printing and e-media, including web and other electronic communications, these color standards should be matched as closely as possible.
